A Chance for Children Foundation hosted their annual holiday giveaway on Sunday, December 20 at the Watts Coffee House in an effort to bring Christmas cheer to the children of Watts.
The LAPD-Southeast, Unity One, the ADC-High Gain Project, and many volunteers assisted in making the event a success for more than 300 children and their families.
Our host, Desiree Edwards of the Watts Coffee House provided snacks and a volunteer band played music that made the event extra special! The greatest gift was seeing everyone work together to help celebrate the season of giving!
Families happily stood in line for all of the free goodies. Delta Airlines collected warm coats to distribute at the event. Toys were donated from ADC-High Gain Project , Ryan Seacrest & KIIS-FM, Kris Kraft, Bungalow Productions, and by many friends!
CROCS and Stride Rite donated hundreds of pairs of shoes! And Columbia Sportswear provided clothing items for the kids! Leapfrog & Nike also donated a variety of educational toys & sports equipment!
Smiles were in abundance and hearts warmed! Thank you all for making this special event possible!
Unity One distributed the leftover toys the next day!
