A dear note from the mother of former camper Johnathon Perales —

Ms. Collins,
I pray my message finds you in good health. Last year, my son Jonathan Perales had the opportunity to join your Chance for Children summer camp. It was a life experience that he is yet to forget. My son got a peek of what the world has to offer. That experience wasn’t just a day in a helicopter or the chance to wear scuba gear, it was much more. It opened a window of dreams and things he never thought at his young age he would consider. He came home saying that he wanted to be a Coast Guard. Although we’ve always encouraged him to dream the impossible, now, he really doesn’t feel that anything is impossible with hard work. For that, me and my family THANK YOU. You do make a differenece. May GOD bless you with so much more and may he keep you in good health.
